There are multiple courts at Parque Cristiania in Chapala. They are active, especially in the mornings, and he could probably find players there to welcome him.

Open playing Mon-Wed-Fri at Cristiana Park 1130-130pm. Just drop in. My husband plays there most of those days. All are welcome
