Moving to Lake Chapala
We will be arriving this Sunday by car around 2:00 pm. We have rented a house by Ocampo and Rio Bravo which is close to the Hotel Danza del Sol. Any suggestions of restaurants or places that have food to go on Sunday evening that are close to our location.
Thanks
Thanks

Armando's is right around the corner from there on Ocampo privada. It is a great restaurant.

Ditto for Armando‘s. It is quiet and relaxing, romantic and the table settings and service are excellent. Prices are moderate and the food is always good.

Also, Tabarka is nearby if you feel like fish/seafood. It's excellent.

ALmost all places will prepare a meal, ‘para llevar‘, if you ask. But why not sit down and enjoy a relaxed meal after a long drive? Start enjoying Mexican time.

Exactly. Restaurants here are not very formal, you can pretty much come as you are and not worry about dressing up.

When you go down Ocampo towards the lake on Rio Bravo turn right and 1/2 block from there is Tio Domingo restaurant. another option other wise drive west on the carratera past Rio Bravo there is a pizza place on the right handside a few blocks down.

The reason we are looking for a take out place is because we will have two cats with us, we don't want to leave them alone in a strange place. Sorry I should have mentioned this in my post.

Pick your restaraunt and ask for your meals para llevar. They will happily accomodate you.

Yves' restaurant is nearby on the parallel to the main road.
Also, down the block is Chillin' and both are very good. Both will fix you takeout, aka "para llevar".
Welcome to lakeside.

Best pizza I've had lakeside is at 71 Ocampo, it's just been open a few months. It is a lovely, rustic space, great service and they have several IPA brews that are outstanding.
They also have burgers and sandwiches fries etc.
