Lagos de Moreno

We will be driving from Colorado to lake Chapala Jan. 15th. What is the best route to get through Lagos de Moreno. Straight through or the bypass around the city. Has anyone done this recently.

Yikes! Bypass? The cuota doesn't go to Lagos de Moreno. Just stay on the cuota.

David, I will be on interstate 80. Is there a new cuota? Directions would be nice.

You mean MX80? Where are you headed? Lakeside/Guadalajara?

Go around Lagos de Moreno as the cuota doesn't go thru the city. The libramiento is MX45 and easy to find coming from the north.

We will be heading for Ajijic. Plan was to take MX80D into Guad. Then take MX23 to Ajijic. Is there a safe route to bypass going through Guad.

Not necessary to go into Guad. After the last toll booth, look for the new Periferico exit that directs you to the airport (and maybe Tepec). Get off there, take the Periferico towards the airport. When you get to the end at Chapala highway, you'll have to go towards town a bit until you come to the first retorno which is also signed to the airport. Exit there, it will reverse your direction and you'll be headed to Chapala at that point.

Don't exit at the airport, just keep going straight, following signs to Chapala.

If anyone has used the new 80D exit to the Periferico, please add a better description of it for Denco, thanks.
