Anyone have any information on luxury buses coming from Houston to Chapala or nearby? I did some searches on line and didn't find much, other than a Greyhound line, which I am told, is not very good.

ETN has service from NUEVO LAREDO to GUADALAJARA but you'd have to use something else to get from HOUSTON to NUEVO LAREDO.

The ETN trip takes about 25 Hours and you may have to switch buses once or twice enroute. But the buses are very comfortable and well-appointed.

I took an ETN luxury bus from Reynosa (Mcallan TX) to Tonala in Sept. It was about 12 hours, overnight and very comfy. I agree with Axixic that you would need a different bus or method of transport from Houston to the border.

The Mexican busses are luxury. The US busses are not. Ride the busses from Nuevo Laredo and Juarez all the time. Nuevo Laredo to Guadalajara is about 14 hours. Very nice, comfortable trip. No bus changes from Nuevo Laredo or Juarez. Just sit, sleep or whatever and ride. You do, however, have to get from wherever you are to a border town in Mexico. Walking across the border and getting a taxi to the Mexican bus station is the easiest.

Yeah, as others have noted - I screwed up the time estimate when I looked at their schedule (AM/PM thing). It's closer to 14 hours.
