LP gas heater repair -- thermocouple?
I'm looking for a repair person for a LP gas portable heater.
Mfg is "Lenomex" purchased from Home Depot 3 years ago.
problem: Pilot won't stay lit unless I keep a lighter on the pilot / thermocouple for a few minutes.
I'm afraid it will fail totally some cold cold night.
any suggestions appreciated!

Thermocouples seldom fail, but they do get bent away from the hot part of the flame. This often happens when lighting the pilot with an igniter and accidentally bumping the thermocouple.
Try bending it back into the area where the flame will be hottest. Then try again. Since the thermocouple works when you keep your flame on it, it is working just fine. Also, be sure you are holding the gas button down long enough for the pilot to heat the thermocouple.

That's funny because we replaced our thermocouple on our pizza ovens every couple of years.

that's funny because rvgringo ain't referring to something used 18+ hours a day in a restaurant. but hey!-it does show that them things can last a long time on a space heater when put in perspective-jaja!Hensley wrote:That's funny because we replaced our thermocouple on our pizza ovens every couple of years.
