Re: books
Check with LCS, they get regular donations, and they are inexpensive.

If you have books to trade, Cafe Magana on the carreterra in Riberas has a great book exchange with LOTS of books to choose from. Take one for every book you bring in. You can return books for another exchange, keep or pass on to friends.

There really is no comparison. As I recall, Mom´s has a few books. At Magana´s all the walls are covered with book shelves and the books are sorted by genre. Oh, he also has a DVD exchange for movies.

Re: books
Yes, i have LOTS of books to give and/or lend. Since all my friends got Kindles (or something comparable), they've passed on their books to me. And the folks who lived in the house where i currently live in Jocotepec left lots of books behind. i have enough to keep me trading at Magana's for years and can definitely get rid of some.
In fact, if anyone knows of a good place to donate some, please let me know. i've already given away a lot of books in Spanish, but now what i have are mostly in English. Nothing newly-published, Horses, but quite a wide selection. Mostly paperbacks; mostly fiction. But there are quite a few about World War 2 that are large, hardback copies. Like a Time-Life series.
PM me, or just respond here.
