You want to watch out for any standing waster after a rain. It only takes 3 days for mosquito larvae.

I thought of this when I went to the side of my house nd found a couple of buckets filled with water and even my wheelbarrow. I turned everything over so no standing water.

"Mosquitoes breed in standing water. Anything from a birdbath to a children's wading pool to an old tire can hold mosquito larvae if it holds water for more than three days. Draining standing water regularly and storing outdoor items that hold water upside down is the best course of action. Where you do have regular standing water, only a small amount of bleach is needed -- 1 tablespoon for 50 gallons of water. Spray items that occasionally fill with water with a 1-to-1 solution of bleach and water once a week."
