Tiny Chihuahua found in Ajijic

A friend asked me to post this for her:
A toy female Chihuahua was found about 5 p.m. Saturday running in the street near Rivera Alta, very frightened and timid. The dog is female, tan with white markings, no collar.
The dog is being kept safe in a home overnight and will be brought to the vet across from Salvador´s restaurant after 10 Sunday morning.

I asked my friend to call me tomorrow with updated information. Until then, this is all the information I have.

Probably was frightened by Cohetes and ran for her life! Hope her owner is found.

This dog could belong to one of the Mexican families that live above and just west of Rivera Alta. I would suggest that they walk up there with the dog and ask around. I would start with the far west house.

The family keeping the dog overnight is Mexican--returning to Guadalajara today which I hope is not the case of the lost dog´s family.
I received the news fourth hand and asked to post. I will check later today and see what I can find out.

The dog is being cared for by another person. She has stitches (recently spayed?) and blisters and raw spots on the pads of her feet. She will be checked by a vet today. No signs of owners.
