I learned that back in the late 60's/early 70s up in Canada. You must have led a sheltered childhood.

When I was a kid in Belfast, we were one of three families on a street of 40 who owned a car.
We were not the one out of the three that could afford petrol for the car.
It was nice to sit in it and dream

On the way to the game today, I drove behind a pickup with 3 guys and a horse in the back.
I love Mexico.

Jim,Lupe and I counted 27 passengers, mostly children,in a pickup with no tailgate a while back tooling down Lazaro Cardenas in Guadalajara,it looked like they were going to a fiesta. How freaking irresponsible is that?Jim W wrote:

The most I have seen in a pickup was 35. This was in Mexico City a few years ago. I still wish I had gotten a picture.

Re: pickup truck capacity
The most police I have counted in the back of a pickup is 15. Fully armed.
Funny how in one country riding in the back is illegal and in another it is what police rely on to move around daily.
Thanks for the reminder of the mandatory accessory for pickups in the prairies years ago - a two -four that was always in the box right behind the driver.

Re: pickup truck capacity
The 35 I saw were in a quad cab. It was the Federal police. Fully armed. They were all laughing really hard, too. They were being transported from one area of the city to another.

It is illegal here. Just tolerated for the most part.
