travel agent recommendation?
I would appreciate any recommendations for a Travel Agent in Chapala-Ajijic.
I have read good things about "VIAJES AJIJIC (In God We Trust)" in Ajijic
and I met a woman at today's Travel Expo @ Hotel Real Chapala, Angelica Cardenas, from "Laguna Travel" in Ajijic who seemed knowledgeable -- has anyone had experience with Laguna Travel?
My needs are relatively simple: A trip for 2 to Merida, air & hotel, possibly a guided tour.
(I have found reasonable fares on VivaAerobus but their website does not encourage confidence; I would hope a Agent could book that carrier, but I am not locked into any one carrier. VivaAerobus was attractive because they fly nonstop GLD-Merida.)
gracias!
pd: also, if one has any recommendations for a hotel in Merida...

Re: travel agent recommendation?
A friend of mine just went to Merida. She booked directly through Aeromexico which was a Volaris flight. She loved her hotel - I'll find out the name.

This is the hotel and link my friend just stayed at in Merida. She loved it. Rooms cost from $35 to $65 per day.
"Their website is http://hoteljulamis.com/ It's #2 in popularity on Trip Advisor out of 100 hotels in Merida in all price ranges amd it deserves it. She can check out the individual rooms on their website and make reservations directly from there. It's a very small place so they don't take credit cards but they do accept Paypal. The owners name is Mel. If she'd like, she can tell him I referred her. " My friend's name is Jere Fyvolent.
She did all the booking direct not throught a travel agent. And you can see there are tours on their website. They also took buses directly to a lot of the sites.

Yes, now does anyone have an answer to the OP's question?
We'd be interested as well.
Thanks.

I have only used VIAJES AJIJIC (In God We Trust) in Ajijic or Club Charter Tours for trips. Both do a good job although you get less frills with Viajes Ajijic.

I forgot to mention that the room included a full breakfast and the owners were wonderful.

Re: travel agent recommendation?
I used VIAJES AJIJIC (In God We Trust)" in Ajijic last week for a 4 day trip to PV. After we arrived the hotel had the rooms all wrong. I called Ellas from the travel agency from the hotel desk and within a couple of minutes she had everything settled and the error was corrected, I have used them several times and I really like this agency and would not be afraid to recommend them. The lady I use there is Ellsa Reyes Martinez

When i went there , we took the camp and installed that with in the area of hotels but that made us independent .all though we were on all inclusive holidays packages but we did enjoy a lot.
