Re: New crime reporting policy on TOB...
And.....
- no complaining
- no disagreeing with any post
- no disagreeing or criticizing the mods or management
- no for sale items
- no for rent items
- no topics that may display that board or management in a bad light
- no topic that may display Lake Chapala in a bad light
- etc, etc, etc......
I do wonder why anyone would post or trust anything on TOB. Maybe this latest will be the kiss of death for them.

Re: New crime reporting policy on TOB...
It was TOB's fascist censorship that inspired me nearly 4 years ago so you can actually thank them.

But I would bet that you are still counted in their membership numbers?

Possibly continuing getting "tons" of clicks advertising their 1 million dollar properties for sale?

Quite frankly if it was my real estate company I wouldn't have had it in the first place. It has probably lost them more customers than it has gained. Focus on your prime business (real estate) not some silly assed web board that pisses people off........

Re: New crime reporting policy on TOB...
Remember, the only reason that board exists is to help them sell real estate. Their livelihood is based on on the fiction that this is the land of milk and honey. Reality can hurt their pocketbooks.
It's a place to discuss the best hamburger in town, where to buy tires, who has the best recommendations on dog food.
There is no substance at all on TOB.

Re: New crime reporting policy on TOB...
It has caused them far more damage than good. Most people read more than one board so they know the BS that board is selling/hiding.
Re: New crime reporting policy on TOB...
There's lots of complaining over there about forum rules.CanuckBob wrote:And.....

I disagree with posts there all the time and I'm still allowed to post.
The mods and management are criticized all time.
Your frequent criticism of TOB on this forum might carry a little more weight if you were'nt such a frequent poster over there.Lady Otter Latté wrote:Thank you, CBob, for providing insidelakeside.
Do you find a lot of substance on this forum?Playaboy wrote:

I can't figure out why you all obsess over it so much. It is what it is and this is what it is. The people there, including me, have been referring people who want to discuss the banned stuff there to come over here.
I think you should be happy they are doing this, it builds traffic here.
Let it go, folks.

My-o-my....and I get my knuckles rapped a month and a half ago for mentioning and bringing over here something that was happening on the other board. ...(like, what does it matter?)
I guess it depends on whose ox is getting gored.

I find that most of your posts lack substance on this board, TOB and Mexconnect. You are very good a criticizing other people post.

Re: New crime reporting policy on TOB...
What's interesting about all this is that I don't think anyone on TOB has had anything (or very little) critical to say about this board, but posters on here are frequently slamming them as though TOB attracts the mentally challenged. That's insulting to folks who post on both boards. There's no "loyalty oath" asked when we join either board.
They each serve their purpose. I wouldn't be looking for a kitchen gadget on here, nor social commentary over there. I do appreciate the freedom of expression(within limits) offered on CBOB's territory.
Maybe some people just have a burr under their saddle blanket or sand in their underpants; can't get comfortable with ambiguity and want life to be "this" versus "that". Personally, I like both chocolate and vanilla; preferably in a large bowl.

Once again, the voice of reason.
Really folks, get over it.

Re: New crime reporting policy on TOB...
My one concern is that events such as the recent murder of Nina and Eduardo is trivialized when it can't be discussed, at least a little, on a community Web board. In this sort of situation, there is a need for mutual grieving and sharing.
