Rolly I have been doing this for years when camping . No mess to clean up and the bags are reuseable. We use Ziplock Freezer bags and not ordinary sandwich bags. I think that the ordinary bags won't handle the heat.

I think that the ordinary bags won't handle the heat.
They do very well with a genital boil. I did some problems with a roaring boil.
