Re: What is a Procuradora
This is what I found on Google:
The Office of the Mexican Attorney-General (hereinafter PGR) is the body of the Federal Executive Branch, which is mainly in charge of investigating and prosecuting the crimes in federal matters and whose Chief Law Enforcement Officer is Mexican Attorney General, who heads the Federal Public Prosecutor and its auxiliary bodies which are the investigative police agents and the experts.
This office is in charge of those issues entrusted to the Mexican Attorney General and the Federal Public Prosecutor by the Political Constitution of the United Mexican States, the Organic Law of the Office of the Mexican Attorney General, its Internal Regulations and other legal ordinances

Re: What is a Procuradora
BTW.....I think the literal translation is Attorney so my definition above is probably the Attorney General's Office.
Re: What is a Procuradora
It can be two things, it can be the prosecutor's office (criminal stuff although now Called Fiscalia General del Estado) or it can be legal aid, the Procuraduria social who helps people with legal issues if they are of low economic means. The office for legal aid in Chapala is at Juarez 575.

Re: What is a Procuradora
Is this the same office as Ministario Publico? And, are the same people continuing the same "run a round"?
(for 3 yrs).
And, if you cannot get anything done there is there a higher office(Guadalajara?) that one can take the matter to?

If you get no results you can file a complaint with the State office of Human Rights in Guadalajara

Re: What is a Procuradora
This year I helped people with a couple of denuncias, I had to wait but I did not get any run around so the receptions in that office seems to vary. If you cannot handle it hire Intercasa and you will sail through it, he has connections.
