Last I heard Puebla is in Mexico so I would think the weather there has something to do with Mexico. I will be there in a couple of weeks and I sure hope the weather will be better.

Maybe thought Puebla or Jicoltepec were in the US or Canada.

We were there when they inaugurated it this year- They said it was 10 000 sq m. It caused a major traffic jam...The cops were shoulder to shoulder 3 deep to guard all the politicians having a nice show while the crowd was kep out of the area...
We listen to the music and it was very good especially the choirs, The cathedral bells went crazy at 8pm from the largest ones to the smallest, it seemed to be quite a show but although we were staying very close from there we had to see the show on tv the next morning..

Here is some better pictures of the rink. The webcam one makes it look like some sort of old Soviet event! The people issuing the orange skates are all wearing facemasks.

One of the caption says there are a couple of shows at 7pm and 11pm on Thursday and another day so it sounds like they will continue having the show we heard on the inauguration day, the music was really good and the few acrobats we saw from the distance seem to be good as well..
