I agree that a chopped windshield would be very cool however it would limit my bimini top options and at this point I don't know where to get custom made auto safety glass around here. If I decide I don't need a bimini then I will definitely investigate further.
Re: Project VolksRod
Custom safety glass at the place on Lopez Mateos Sur between Periferico and Costco on that side, I looked into it for someone a few years ago.

Re: Project VolksRod
Sorry to bump up an old thread, but I walked by Bob's house last week on my way to return books to LCS. His garage door was open and he was working on an old VW. I have never seen anything like what Bob can do. Absolute perfection and absolutely amazing. If you get a chance and he leaves his garage door open go and take a peek. He is right next door to LCS and right across the street from Chimi's, a wonderful man, with great food served on a few tables in the front of his home.
Seeing Bob's amazing reconstruction and transfiguration of old VW's
A wonderful meal at Chimi's
And a visit to LCS and its wonderful grounds and history.
How can you go wrong?
The best part is that we can now park closer than 4 blocks away.

And one of the gang of 25 strikes again. Guess we are not allowed to say anything positive and supportive on this webboard or we are ridiculed. How sad.

Further proof that the gang of 25 is destroying what could be a great webboard, as they only allow their group of 25 out of 1300 members to post without attacks. Luv ya Hocks. Grow up.

Well Jim, let's set the record straight. The body, paint and upholstery were farmed out. I build the interior pieces and did the electrical and mechanical.
Thanks anyways though...........

¡De acuerdo!....especially the part about peeking through garage doors....what's next?....bedroom windows?
.....and talk about outing and pinpointing where a victim lives.

The metal work genius, Al Young, has built me some custom running boards that I designed. We laser cut the "Hot Wheels" flame logo into them. Al did an outstanding job!!!
