Nogales to GDL

No problems, other than construction in Hermosillo....signage is a problem, missed a sign, ended up in the middle of a Federale Policia operation....approx. 15 cars searching for bodies.....got the hell outa there in a hurry. Mazatlan....still has construction issues. ..... Arrived Tepic @ sunset....feds had apparently just changed shift.....6 or 7 feds lights flashing.....4 per pick up.....Just wanted to get the hell off the road to hotel......Feels great to be home.

I will make it so, have my old trasher board and a 4x4 and have been thinking about doing it for years. Old school style, friends take turns driving the others up the hill and board / sled / fall / slide down.

You think you got it made going south in Hermosillo when you turn right off the
kinda expressway. Look for small detour signs which tell you to turn left. Going
North no problem. Just did it a week ago. Monday I can start heading south again.
It is below freezing last night in Bellevue outside Seattle. Cold start to winter.

No sweat guy we all do it sometimes myself included and yes I really do understand how wierd it was for you we barely saw the small
detour signs the first time we went through.

Zed, We missed the small sign, in the middle of an apparent drug issue....turned right @ the Guaymas sign, there are 2 now....this apparently is to the new road, which turns into a dead end, as the road has not been completed.....who da thunk.....they put the new sign up, before new road completed? Back to Orygun football......up 28-7 @ the half......Have a safe trip.

This has been very informative for us because we plan to make this journey in January. Thanks to all that contributed.

P.S. We're already loaded for the trip back, Lo seinto.

I will be heading south in the next week and I will write up something when I get
back. North is no problem only south. Just did north a week ago.

Given how UCLA played against USC and how the Ducks handled the Orange & Black - it won't be much of a playoff game. That should be about enough for Neuheisel to be given his walking papers. Couldn't happen to a more deserving guy!

CG, I don't understand Play Off Pack 12...been out of country to long.....USC has best record, why aren't they playing.....UCLA could end up in Rose Bowl?

Actually USC & OR have identical overall records at 10/2 but OR has a 8/1 conference record while USC's conference is 7/2. Overriding all that consideration is that USC is on probation from the Pete Carroll and Reggie Bush era. Thus they are banned from postseason games.

Additional info: Stanford is 8/1 conference and 11/1 overall. They lost to OR, so OR wins the tiebreak and goes to the championship game. That said Stanford will go to a higher ranked BCS Bowl Game while OR will go to the Rose Bowl if they beat UCLA.
