YOWZA! 3.5 inches of rain in my gauge this morning in Riberas. I am currently river front property and my neighbour's kitchen was flooded. No problems in my house.

I also thought that strange. If it wasn't for the river in front of my house and the call from my neighbour, I would have doubted the gauge. Cloud burst? It's not only the kitchen that was flooded in their house but their whole driveway was backed up. Theirs is flat whereas my house is one step up but the courtyard also slopes to the street.

My dogs got me up at 4:30 and I trotted to the living room to let them out and thought one had a huge accident. But no, seems water blew in from the north into the living room. That has never happened before. The yard looks like a lake this morning.

Richie, who walks my dogs, was talking to his Dad who is house sitting around the corner from me on San Luis... that's the same street that my neighbour's driveway is on. Anyway, the house that his Dad is house sitting is totally flooded.
