We like the 'hot' ones from Lilifer Deli on Colon in Ajijic; they also carry mild.

Bought from Tony's once....they were sold "fresh" at the meat counter. When I unwrapped at home...ewwwww! Way past fresh. Had to throw out.

At Lilifer he stores frozen, individually wrapped. When I want to use one I can thaw in their baggie in bowl water and they're ready in no time.

If I'm using them for pasta sauce, I find it easier to cut them when they're frozen. Slices or quarter the slices and just throw them in the sauce. Divine!

Simply Joyful has about 12 different flavors of sausage, including Italian. I have tried 5 flavors so far and they are excellent. Lilifer is good sausage too.

I like the Berlin brand of sausages sold at Superlake and the chicken place near S&S motors. No junk in 'em.

Berlin is also the brand that I favour but it's also because they are sold closer to me.
