Velveeta cheese where

Does Pancho have velveeta cheese and what weight and price if you know.

You know that Velveeta isn't actually cheese, right?

Gourmet Garage usually has it. I don't know the price since I usully get kraft.

Yes Gourmet has it in 1 lb. Looking for a 2 lb box.

“Dearly” = $20.00 USD for a 2lb. block of dear old non-cheese Velveeta at Super Lake, Pancho’s or any other nearby retailer, including Costco.

Closest analog is Hellman’s “Queso cremosito,” which has a slightly liquid (in a deliciously cheesy way!) consistency compared to a compressed block of Velveeta. This lovely stuff comes in a yellow-and-blue box, and if Super Lake has it in stock, it will be on a 4-tier wooden shelf in front of the cooler where the cartons of eggs are displayed. Pancho’s keeps its boxes of Hellman’s queso close to the shelves of chips, Doritos and similar packaged goods. It’s great mixed with a can of original flavor Ro-Tel, but I’ll bet you already know this.

Cost? Around 40 pesos per box. And on special last week at Pancho’s for 20 pesos. Bon appetit!

It’s kind of like Kraft American cheese slices. Plastic not cheese.

Velveeta has always been available at Superlake. It is pricey compared to the US but it has tariffs added. I can understand why you would want Velveeta. I don’t but I have a can of Rotel we can bargain over. Superlake is a great, and often disparaged store. They will order canned berries for you while we can buy fresh berries. I loved it when Pancho ran it. I wanted.a Costco Christmas tree. I asked Pancho. He placed the order and delivered to my home. We have wonderful suppliers and it really hurts me when they are criticized.

While Pancho's has that "Whole Foods", vibe to it, I like SL better than Pancho's. I find Pancho's has many short dated and expired items. Check the dates on anything you buy there. Either way they both add value to the community.
