Firing a maid

I know that I will need legal assistance when I do this but I want a general idea of what to expect and maybe some personal stories from those that have done it. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Also book an appointment with a lawyer. Get them to draft the paperwork and figure out exact amounts owing.

Thanks for the link but still looking for the specifics of how it's done and some personal stories.

We told our maid we no longer required her services and told her she would need to accompany me to ABC Legal to sign papers and receive her finiquito. We stated that this was a "no cause" termination for simplicity sake. By the time we left the office, we were done.

That is the procedure for letting someone go without cause.. If you do not want to pay and have cause you need to have everything focumented like you would in the States and well documented otherwise you can run into problems..
