There are free clinics for rabies shots in some of the villages. One this Saturday in San Juan Cosala and there are free shots provided by the government. Don't know of any door to door operations.

DIF goes door-to-door with rabies vaccinations for dogs. They are free and the nurses were more adept than I expected. They also give you a colored tag to put on your dog's collar indicating it has been vaccinated. I have no idea when the next time will be but you could check with them. If you find out, please post the info.

They were by my house earlier but my dogs already had their shots. It would be nice to know for in the future.
