Beside El Barco on the caraterra in Ajijic. Is it open yet? Has anyone tried it?

Almost certain they're open. Haven't tried it.

Yes, they are open. I was there last Saturday for happy hour. It is a nice open space for happy hour drinks, light food and conversation with friends. They haven't begun advertising heavily as they are still training staff and finalizing their menu. The fare is oriented toward bar food rather than formal dining. They have their own BBQ smoker in the rear and produce tasty ribs and pulled pork. Tried the bean-less chili which was also quite good.

One aspect that I particularly like is the size of the room. They have plenty of tables but so much room between them that you never feel crowded when you gather your amigos around and can actually hear each other when swapping lies. The bar is amazing with an onyx surface that is lit from below at night ... a great design idea.

Give them a try. And check back often. Their menu is evolving and who can tell what might be featured next time.

We checked out The Blue Moon yesterday for dinner. What a great place with a very nice relaxed ambiance. They have a fairly diverse "bar food" style of menu with things like Hot Dogs (Kirkland), Chili Dogs, Chili Fries, Poutine, Molcajetes, Fajitas, Chili, Burgers, Brisket, Pulled Pork, etc., etc. The bar seems to be well stocked for beer, wine or cocktails. Everyone really enjoyed their meals. I had the 12" Hot Dog and BBQ baked beans. I will be going back for more.

Their official grand opening is this Sunday starting at 12:00 noon. They will have live music at 6:00pm. They say they will have free margaritas all day long so you will know where to find me...…..

I've had their bean-less chili dog with a cold Victoria, followed by a ice cream kahlua smoothie. Excellent. And the staff is very friendly. Big hello to Bob, Josie, and Caesar.

What are the hours. I hate beans and love chili.

Their chili is bean less and quite good too. I think they are open at noon but not sure what time they close. I'll find out for sure tomorrow.

Yes, I'd like to know their hours and what days they are open as well.

Their number is 33 1025 3830. Ajijic Blue Moon for their FB page but it does not have hours yet

Just left Blue Moon (after another CD & B) and according to Caesar, they plan on being open from 12:00 to 8-10pm 7 days a week depending on business. Meaning on a slow night they may close at 8pm. They are also planning on posting more information this coming week to FB and the web boards ( I told Caesar about this board).
