Lunch in Tequila Empty Lunch in Tequila

We are planning a day trip to Tequila and will be having lunch/la comida while there. My husband is mainly a hamburger kind of guy, but the rest of us are adventurous with food. Any recommendations for restaurants in Tequila that would accommodate all of our palates? Also, recommendations of best distilleries to check out would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

There is a very nice Cholula restaurant right beside the Jose Cuervo distillery. It is a restaurant chain owned by the Cholula Hot Sauce people.  Probably one of the nicest in town. Great Mexican dishes and beautiful ambience. Not sure if they have burgers but you can check the menu beforehand.

And of course you can tour the Jose Cuervo distillery.

There is also a very nice restaurant within the Cofradia distillery grounds if you decide on that tour.

Have to throw this comment in.  A group of eight of us were there last year. We stayed at the Cofradia complex. The restaurant is beautiful but the dinner we had was awful along with the service. We did love the tour and will return for that.

I second the Jose Cuervo distillery tour and also the Cholula restaurant.
