The U.S. Consulate General in Guadalajara would like to inform U.S. citizens that information is available on social media, allegedly originating from a transnational criminal organization, that they will conduct attacks on gas stations in the state of Jalisco beginning at 10:00 pm tonight, December 30. While these threats are unconfirmed, the Regional Security Office at the Consulate has advised Consulate employees to avoid using gas stations from 10:00 pm tonight through 8:00 am, December 31. American citizens should be aware of their surroundings if they intend to visit gas stations during this time and monitor local media for additional information.

I heard the one on Airport Road was/is on fire. Anybody else hear that?

Nope, now they're saying that fire was from a few months ago.

It is now listed on an official website - so who knows - note - I was told it was fake news by a good source

The hoax story came from Fiscalia something or other that Spencer said has the credibility of the tooth fairy.  Seems to be a fan page.  I got the email from the consulate. Don't know if the source the Consulate is basing this on is a hoax but I wouldn't go near a Pemex tonight just in case.

Yes, that's the picture but it's from a few months ago. The Consulate did send out a warning.

I know the person who posted this so I will ask them if they were an eyewitness or not.

The woman who posted this on FB just told me that the pic was sent to her however she believes it was taken yesterday. It was at a station on "Road to Guadalajara, Santa Rosa". I'm not so sure. Surely someone else should have witnessed this.

It is sort of easy now to search on Google for an image.  In this case, this image was posted in May 2015  - who knows if that was the first time.

The lesson to be gained here is, never smoke while they're filling your gas tank.

All the gas stations are closed anyway, "out of gas".
