If you like steak well done, how do you say it in Spanish? The book I have doesn't have restaurantese in it. (No remarks about how I'm ruining a good piece of meat, please! :) )

Good one. Since I prefer my steak "termino medio" or "termino medio rojo." Termino Negro?

That was fast! Thanks so much! If they look at me blankly when I use one phrase, I'll try the other. I made the mistake of ordering short ribs when I was there & they grilled them. Toughest piece of meat I've ever tried to eat since they weren't braised & were definitely rare.

Well, do not Bobnliz sneak it at just the right time with their pearls of wisdom on many topics and they are usually right. All I know is rojo. Zoey

I always did like research. Used to take a volume of the Encyclopedia and bubble bath to the tub when I was a kid.
"Rojo" works great if you just want them to run it through and brand it on both sides. Me, I prefer my meat dead before I eat it. Lizzy Basketball

Bobnliz what delightful, informed, but a tad snarky commentary you give us. I have noticed that when we get into a bit of a debate, you guys sit back and watch it and then toss in a sentence which clarifies the debate. Thanks for your presence oin this board. Wish you would post more often, your thoughts are welcomed and appreciated. Zoey

ROTFLMAO!!! Thanky for the compliment. It's nice of you to say so.
I would spend more time here, if I had it. There's just too much other stuff to do.
I thought there would be more time available when we "retired", but it ain't so. Now we are always planning the next trip. Lizzy
