Very good advice!! What amazes me is yes you are breaking the law acording to the new laws being passed and going into effect. We are so used to the way the net used to be when everything was free!

Folks pretty soon nothing will be free on the net, you will pay to watch movies and pay to download music. No more free rides. Sooner or later, sooner in some countries. The old saying if you wanna play you gotta pay!! Course there will always be freeloaders who want something for nothing! It's been that way since the beginning of time!!!
Thank You:
(RIAA) and the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) — the same industry groups that conjured up SOPA and PIPA.

Again I post this link, you might as well make yourself familiar with it, eventually it will effect you are someone you
know!!

Six ways pirates can get around the coming 'Six Strikes'
By Darlene Storm
February 22, 2013 11:39 AM EST

Despite the fact that the European Copyright Society (ECS) found that hyperlinking is not copyright infringement, the Hollywood-funded anti-piracy organization BREIN will not be happy until there is no daily limit on reporting “pirate links” to Google, and “wants to increase the daily DMCA cap from 10,000 to 40,000 and eventually remove the restrictions altogether.” However, ECS wrote, “As Tim-Berners Lee, who is regularly accredited as being an inventor of the World Wide Web, has explained, a standard hyperlink is nothing more than a reference or footnote, and that the ability to refer to a document is a fundamental right of free speech.”

The RIAA disagrees and if it had its way, even Google’s auto-complete feature would be wiped clean of “piracy-inducing keywords.” The RIAA report card concluded, "The search rankings for sites for which Google has received large numbers of instances of infringement do not appear to have been demoted by Google’s demotion signal in any meaningful way, at least with respect to searches for downloads or mp3s of specific tracks or artists.” Yet as Techdirt pointed out, most folks unhappy about their Google ranking would stop to learn about search engine optimization. Furthermore, the RIAA doesn’t seem to understand that if logged into Google, then different people see different Google search results. The bottom line: “The RIAA will never, ever be satisfied until Google wipes out all infringement with the magic ‘piracyBgone’ button.”

When this happens I would not want to be a Starbucks or hotel manager in the foreseeable future or a forum owner. I wonder where the server for this site is located? Will this forum be effected? I mean posting what I just posted could be considered piracy.

No problem you can't get on the internet without your national computer ID card or the swipe of your arm next to a reader to read the chip in your hand.

See problem fixed LOL. The Starbucks manager will be safe.

Well no, I don't think anyone would do that, but there might be some mighty pissed off special interest groups.

... most of whom won't have a clue how to track you down electronically, and would have no legal right to get a court order to do so...

Respectfully, I disagree. I refer you to WIPO-Administered Treaty. Please note Mexico is a member. As with anything regarding enforcing the law in Mexico there are the what if's and whens. But..... Enforcing soft laws are easier done, take for example the smoking law which in many places is enforced.

Multimedia productions are another example of a type of work not listed in the Berne Convention, but which clearly comes within the notion of creations in the literary, scientific and artistic domain. While no acceptable legal definition has been developed, there is a consensus that the combination of sound, text and images in a digital format, which is made accessible by a computer program, embodies an original expression of authorship sufficient to justify the protection of multimedia productions under the umbrella of copyright.

I like the part where the creator of the Internet says that hyperlinks (in these cases, links to pirated stuff) are simply footnotes, and you cannot prosecute someone for using footnotes.

The manager will be safe cause they will know it is you or I using the system because you will have to identify yourself before using the system. Don't think you will be able to go to an Internet cafe and be anonomous. Not going to happen at some point in future thus my Internet card or chip in the arm.
My computer reads my fingerprints to logon. How long before the eyeball scan is standard as in every sci/fi lock potrayal today??

Eye Eye Eye (very bad pun I know) I had not thought of that very bad side of eyeball readers before and I thought I was cynical LOL.
