Many of us are having Thanksgiving this Monday at Salvador's and some may even go down and walk along the shores of Lake Chapala.

Salvadors is famous for its Monday Thanksgiving meals. Many will be going to the Nueva Posada for Thanksgiving Monday

Similar to what my Mom used to do for about 35 years back in the states. Dad would buy a fresh turkey from a turkey farm or a frozen Butterball, Mom cooked it and made a sausage stuffing. Dad cut the Turkey. Mom made all the veggies (3) and mashed and candied sweet potatoes. Mom made the 3 pies, apple, lemon mereingue with high peaks and pumpkin. And my cousins would come every year with their children. Good memories. Mmmmm

Can't wait until you all go, then the villages will all be peaceful for a week!

We were lunching there last week and the menu for Canadian T'Giving was on the table. Looked delicious, so enjoy.
Since we have other commitments that day and aren't Canucks.......we won't get to have that treat.

That's what's so great about being down here. We get two Thanksgivings. And although there aint much of a beach lakeside, I will be going to the beach to walk off all that good food Monday afternoon.

I think part the posters are talking about Canadian Thanksgiving and the other part US Thanksgiving?

Actually, it´s only Canadian pilgrims to Mexico who celebrate thankgiving as they annually offer thanks to their god for guidance in finally achieving that long-dreamt of pilgrimage from The Frozen Tundra and land of poutine and Tim Horton´s watered-down coffee to the land of sunshine, tamales and Chololo 4 birria de chivo with tequila.

Yes, it is actually this weekend in Canada. We don't have pilgrims but we do have Bob & Doug Mckenzie......take off eh, hoser.

Early Canucks didn't have wild turkeys.... theirs was a feast of Moose Meat & Beavertails in Maple Syrup and had it a month earlier so they didn't freeze to death while celebrating

Sizing up these Canadian posts....the first Mexican Thanksgiving will be declared the day the last Canuck leaves Mexico.
