La Vid Restaurant - Tlaquepaque
Located at Prisciliano Sánchez #115 (about a block and a half from the main plaza) and a pleasant decor. We went there on a Sunday night and were one of three occupied tables. I had chicken cordon bleu and don't remember what Kathy had since I neglected to take pictures. We would rate the food as above average and the service quite good. A decent alternative to the regular spots on Independencia.

I'd like to find the guy who built the bar. Neil, in your travels around Tlaquepaque and Tonala, have you come across a place that obviously knows and builds bars?

MC:
If one makes a tour of various restaurants in Tlaquepaque with viewing bars in mind, I would say you could see numerous interesting ones. I would guess finding out who built the bars in the older established restaurants might be problematic since it has been years since they were built. In some of the newer establishments, you might be able to find out by talking to either the owner or maybe even the manager.
I do have some ideas for you but I am going to respond in the "Shopping" section as the information may be of interest to others and that section seems more logical.
