The Hemotology Dra. at Quality Care is excellent. You might look at getting a urocultivo test. I have asymptomatic E. Coli, the old strain lowered my blood platelets to 55,000 the new mutated strain does not, now 120,000. It is also antibiotic resistant though. The doctors finally agreed if no symptoms, why keep pumping antibiotics. The new thinking is that there is a lot more bacteria in your bladder than previously assumed. To wipe everything out, good or bad, could cause more harm than good.

They did about 30 blood tests when I was in SAT. $22,000 pesos worth including chest xray and cat scan.......lol. I will find out the results tomorrow if anything stands out. If not they will start with bone marrow tests, etc. My platelets were at 12,000 and jumped to the 109,000 after the steroid IV. They said that was a positive sign. I will test the blood again tomorrow to see where we stand.

Well so far everything is clean. They are now looking at Hep B as one of the blood tests showed a marker. One of my tattoos may be coming back to haunt me......lol.

Well its not Hep B so we are back to not knowing a thing other than my immunization for Hep A and B is still working.

What was the mass near your pancreas? Have you been having tarry stools which would indicate GI bleeding and perhaps depleting your platelets?

There was no mass after the second contrast cscan. Internal bleeding was the first thing they chceked for in the hospital.

How do you feel now?  I have had CT scans and MRI's that have alarmed radiologists, but not doctors....and vice a versa.  

I am convinced Medicine is as much an Art as it is a Science.  

Maybe all you needed was to get off those old meds?

At the moment I am very fatigued with mild flu like symptoms. Whether it is related or not I don't know. Something caused my platelets to drop to 12,000 (sb 150,000 to 400,000). They are back up to 250,000 after several steroid ivs. Also something is causing my hemoglobin to be too high (thick blood). Thats what they are trying to figure out. Maybe we'll never know. My next appointment is with a rheumatologist.

Keeping up with your supplements just in case you have the wrong corona?
