But be advised, the computer system is not functioning properly and it is a very slow check out process. Poor Pancho, they are doing the best to get people checked out. He is happy and proud, he's put a nice store together and soon all will be well.

Re: Pancho's Market
I plan on going tomorrow. I figured it would be bedlam today but good for him. I’m quite sure it will be a huge success as long as the landlord doesn’t screw him over when it’s time to renew his lease. I hear that’s what happened to Ismat with his restaurant at Hole in One (allegedly.)

Re: Pancho's Market
Wasn't Pancho his landlord at Avocado Club? Ismat was there today, cooking and giving out samples. One woman said it was the best tomato soup she'd ever had.
Good idea to wait a bit for the computer system to get tuned up and for them to restock from today. The stock wasn't 100% he still has a lot of products to go. Probably could use some cash flow though.
Interestingly, to me anyway, the place was packed full with gringos - there was not one person l knew.

Parking lot @ Super Lake mid-day was EMPTY!! LOL. More parking @ Riberas Panchos.. but it was still pretty crazy. Is the al fresco dining area his too? for coffee, meet-ups? Very nice space..

Pancho didn't own the Rose Bowl but his family does. He just managed it before Ismat moved in with the Avocado Club.

Re: Pancho's Market
I think it is Pancho's uncle with the money. He funded Superlake and The Hole-in-one and it was Pancho's uncle who asked Pancho to leave Superlake.
How do I know this? It is what Pancho told me.
Pancho's new place looks so much better than Superlake. Go take a look.

As I understand it, it was Pancho’s uncle who jacked up the rent on Avocado Club. I would think Ismat wouldn’t be selling his food at Pancho’s place if Pancho was the one who forced him out of Avocado Club.
