yes it is very sad and many rivers in Mexico are in the same situation, it is a disgrace how human treat that precious commodity.

And yet Todd Stong continually says the lake is clean.

I know several places along the lake where agua negra runs directly into it. When the rains come it's a bubbling fountain of agua negra out of the manhole just below the SAT treatment station and just above the lake. And the river of agua negra that runs down from Nestipac alongside the children's playground in the Joco malecon and into the lake. And yet Todd Stong maintains the lake is clean.

Yeah, and I sometimes wonder if the samples he takes are from out in the middle of the lake where it is probably well-diluted. And that is all well and good, but the middle of the lake is not much used by humans. It's the shoreline and a few yards out where the kids play and swim (gag) and the fishermen are.

Granted, it's a monster lake in size but it should still not be anyone's toilet bowl.
