Glaze as in paint glaze

Anyone know where to buy paint glaze..preferrably Lakeside

I saw that Sola...just didn't know if the black would be too much on off white. I'll get with you.

i saw sola's pic and that should work on off white as well. looks similar to what you can do with a minwax or bri-wax over paint to achieve the aged look. it's all in how you apply it.

This was the first time I used an actual glaze product. Usually I have use 'chapote' which is probably the wrong spelling. Get a hunk of tar and a small container of kerosene or gasoline and put it in a plastic container and let the tar melt into the kerosene and then you drizzle that black gaz into another container which contains a hunk of wax. Mix those up and apply with a rag wiping in circles to get the blackened wax into the grooves. You can us a one inch brush to glob the wax into the corners and onto features of the piece you want to emphasize and then wipe it off. It is fun to figure it out.

You are sooo much more industrious than me...wax, tar, kerosene!

i didn't distress this piece. it is light brown bri-wax over latex and bare wood carving at the top.
i would think that you can achieve something similar with sola's glaze-and that's a good thing-no?
