PESOS TO USD

What is the fastest/cheapest way to change pesos to USD?    Wire transfer?

Your bank will do it at the teller window. There may be a limit, but they will do the exchange.

Cheapest and fastest is a casa de cambio, the ones near my home in Zapopan are quoting 12.75 per dollar.

Where do you want the dollars Jim?...In Mexico or the US?
If Mexico, then it would have to be currency or US dollar check and casa de cambio or bank would be best.

If US, then a wire transfer to your dollar account would be best.

Do you want currency or deposit to dollar account?

Who knows, with all this rigamarole about checks, maybe US banks won't accept US dollar checks drawn on dollar accounts, in the US, of Mexican banks... LOL...(just kidding)

Thanks guys, We are making a two hour run to Nogales next week....we'll just hit the Bancomer  our Mexican Bank and wire transfer....probably lose a little....but trying to wire transfer via telephone from Mx to Us is a night mare for us that are Spanish challenged....LOL

Check the rates at the money changing outlets in Nogales. I often get a better than bank rate when I do that in Laredo or Mcallen.

You can buy USD with pesos at the Intercam next to Oxxo downtown Ajijic.

Sparks, we are in Casa Grande, AZ right now.......need to move some pesos to $  from Bancomer, MX to US Bank.   

With all these restrictions on depositing checks, maybe make a deal with someone you know to transfer pesos to them and they can transfer dollars to you
