Early Bird Cafe

What a treat! We had forgotten, living in Chapala and the Early Bird being in Ajijic. But we were in the village today and decided to stop by for a pastrami sandwich and a burger. Of course Rick was there, chatty as ever and happy to give us an update on his signature dishes and a glimpse of his new offerings.

Our meals were well proportioned taste treats and we recommend a stop by next time you find yourself in the hood. Oh, while you're there and for a grin check out his 'unwanted' poster.

Upon leaving I encouraged Rick to post some updates of his latest creations and I hope he does, they sound divine.

Thanks Bob, I'm glad you both enjoyed your lunch. In answer to your request we have added several new things to our menu....not for people who are dieting! We now offer fantasitc Beer Battered Onion Rings and, my favorite, a Beer Battered Stuffed Burger! We have a different sandwich on special every day that includes our fresh cut Russet Fries and a drink and a week long different "burger" special every week. Thanks for coming in, it was great seeing you both!

It's diagonally across from Manix restaurant, next to LM@COM computer place on Ocampo

And they have the best corned beef in Mexico - try the Ruben sandwich next time!

And the French Dip specials.

We've been getting out more lately...today we had lunch at the Early Bird Cafe and have firmly marked it as a new favourite.
Great service, great food and Rick and Heidi are a treat.
We loved the laid back atmosphere and the oldies playing in the background. My Reuben sandwich was TO DIE FOR and hubby's Philly Cheese was equally gastronomically pleasing. Wow, haven't had corned beef like that in a very long time.
Kudos to the Early Bird Cafe!...welcoming all lovers of great comfort food. Smokers and pets also welcomed. Fairly easily handicapped accessible.
