Dr. Valanzuela is a G.I. surgeon and laproscopic specialist. I had a very rare case it fixed, so rare he is going to publish it.
He operated on me for 6 hours. An unheard of problem.

what was this rare case,if you don't mind me asking?

I had a very large cyst (yellow lemon size) behind the vena cava vein (largest in the body), and it was wedged between the vena cava and the portal vein of the liver (the second largest vein). Blood vessels had attached the cyst to the vena cava. It took Dr. Valenzuela 3 hours to dissect the cyst away from the VC vein. Also had matted loops of intestines with adhesions from complication of abdominal surgery in 2011. It took him and hour to release all of them. I also had a big hernia the small bowel had slipped into causing an obstruction.
The cyst situation attached to the VC vein has never been heard of. My insurance didn't evening have a diagnosis code number for it. Dr. Valenzuela is going to publish my case. He came to see me twice a day for 10 days and I had a crisis at 2 a.m. and he came into the hospital to insert a tube down the nose. It was tough but I am home now.

If you need a G.I. surgeon go to him. He comes to Integrity on Fridays or Saturdays depending on his very busy schedule. He is board certified so he can operate in any of the hospitals in Guad.

What were your symptoms, if you don't mind?

Pain and vomiting. Bowel obstruction. The huge cyst showed up on CT scan. I didn't even know I had that but it ended up being the worst problem. Dr. Valenzuela drove out here this evening to just see me as Integrity will be closed for Semana Santa Friday.
